BCA seals big 2010 deal
January 18th, 2010 by Richard Aucock
BCA has agreed a 2 year preferred remarketer deal with the UK’s oldest used car hypermarket.
UK Car Group will now benefit from a series of strategic marketing programmes aimed at promoting its many trade-ins.
The 60-year-old firm includes some well known brand names: Carcraft, Motorstore, U-Car Car Credit, carland.com and CC Trade Sales. Van dealers may also benefit, as the business stretches to All In One Leasing and Van Leasing Direct operations.
Not that it’s a new partnership. BCA and UK Car Group have actually been doing business together since 1952!
What does it mean for car dealers? More 3- to 5-year old ex-lease and prestige stock, sold through BCA centres nationwide. There will be regular branded sales programmes promoting this stock, too.
Darren McKee, a director of UK Car Group, said ‘BCA offered an innovative and ‘joined-up’ approach to remarketing, together with a wide range of complementary services.
‘We are impressed with the Live Online service which delivers genuinely incremental buying power.’
It’s big news, said BCA’s sales director Mark Hankey. ‘This is a significant deal that will deliver a substantial range of attractive stock for buyers at BCA.
‘UK Car Group is one of the most dynamic and innovative retail operators and we are delighted that after a rigorous market review, BCA will continue their long-established partnership with the company.’
That’s not it for BCA, either. ‘This is the first of several significant new business gains and contract extensions that BCA will be announcing over the coming weeks.’
