Alfa sales rise 150%
ALFA Romeo is pleased to join the September scrap sales success party, with eye-opening figures.
Nearly 2000 Alfa Romeos were registered in September – a rise of nearly 150 percent!
OK, the numbers were perhaps too small to be truly representative, but they are still a clear sign of the strides being made by the Italian brand.
To date in 2009, Alfa sales are up 40 percent, with over 7000 new cars being sold. No surprises to discover it’s the cracking MiTo that’s been leading this sales success – something that led UK sales director Andres Sproston to declare it ‘great news for all concerned.
‘Our growth is in-line with the expectations and objectives we set out at the beginning of the year.
‘The hard work and investment we have put into the restructure of this iconic brand is now starting to pay off, and has played a vital part in our improved sales.
‘Across the board, Alfa Romeo is returning to its rightful position as a leading quality brand, and customers are taking note.’
The cars have been a big factor, but this has also, he said, been ‘complemented by our improved dealer network, better training and servicing, and dedicated attention to customer care.’
That’s why Alfa is one of just three car makers to record an OVERALL sales rise during 2009… increasing its market share by 125 percent in the process!
