A Superb launch?

Over 100 customers turned out at the dealers’ joint launch of the new Superb – held at Airesford’s Watercress Line steam railway.

Naturally, customers could not only drive the car – but also have a free ride on the railway, courtesy of the two retailers.

They sourced a vintage Skoda 422 to display alongside the new Superb – and even managed to get the Mayor and Mayoress of Rushmoor along, who were given a buffest lunch on the railway.

Peter Davidson, general manager at Garland Motors, said: ‘It was a great day where our customers and business partners came to see the eagerly-anticipated Superb in the flesh, and have the opportunity to road-test the car.

‘Our theme was ‘Old Technology meets New Technology’, which went down really well with everyone, especially the buffet and rides on the steam train.’

And, most importantly of all, was it good for business? It seems so. ‘We placed two retail orders on the day and are anticipating a fleet order of six Superbs as a result.’
