£1bn Clarkson show
May 27th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
TOP Gear Live tickets go on sale next Monday at 9am – with car fans advised to get in and book early.
Last year, tickets for the MPH Show events sold out in weeks.
And this year’s shows – which have had to be insured for a cool £1 billion – are expected to sell out even faster.
That’s despite being priced from £42.
The MPH Show is fronted by Jeremy Clarkson and the rest of the Top Gear team. He plays ‘ringmaster’, in a 75-minute live show of car nuttery.
This includes, we’re told, stunts from the rarest cars on the planet; makers taking part include:
• Aston Martin
• Bentley
• Caparo
• Ferrari
• Koenigsegg
• Lamborghini
• Maserati
• McLaren
• Pagani
• Porsche
• Rolls-Royce
• Spyker
It will run at London Earls Court between 5-8 November, before moving to Birmingham’s NEC for events between 12-15 November.
MPH show director, Charlotte Aldiss, said: ‘Already Jeremy and the Top Gear Team are working hard on what promises to be an unmissable show. We’re expecting this year’s event to sell out quicker than 2008.’
