Help for Heroes aid

VAUXHALL is using its car dealer network to bolster funds for the Help for Heroes charity.
The firm has created a special liveried ‘Vivaro Vault’ van and is taking this on a 2-week UK tour to collect funds.
The ‘Drive for Heroes’ tour will visit Vauxhall dealers across the country to pick up big cheques – adding to the £44k total raised in just 4 months.
It’s part of the 2-year campaign Vauxhall started in April this year, to support the Help for Heroes charity.
This is not just about raising cash, but also loaning vehicles to help with Help for Heroes events, and supporting the charity in other ways, too. There will be lots of developments here in time.
Vauxhall MD, Duncan Aldred, said: ’Vauxhall has had a strong association with the armed forces, from supplying vehicles during both World Wars to our current support for active servicemen and women.
‘Vauxhall is proud of its employees and retailers who are continuing to support combat personnel through Help for Heroes.’
Help for Heroes’ Sarah Walker said: ‘Vauxhall’s support in these first four months of the partnership has been a real boon for Help for Heroes.
‘Help for Heroes is grateful for all Vauxhall’s assistance, but it is particularly rewarding to see its employees and retailers, from senior management to apprentices, giving up their own free time to help raise funds for this worthwhile cause.’
